How do I choose a Colloidal Silver Generator?
A. The Colloidal Silver
generator you choose should have an inbuilt system
which checks the concentration of the Colloidal Silver
it is producing and turn off automatically when the
required concentration is reached. This should be
between approx. 5 and 10 ppm (parts per million). Make
sure that the instructions say to use only high grade
distilled water. This ensures that high grade Colloidal
Silver will result. The

What is Colloidal
Silver made of?
A.
Colloidal Silver should be produced using High Grade
distilled water and very pure silver electrodes. The
silver electrodes are suspended in the High Grade
distilled water and a potential is then connected to
the electrodes of approx. 30 Volts (usually DC). This
setup eventually produces sub-microscopic particles of
silver in the water, held in colloidal form (evenly
spread throughout the water). The
MProCSG generator is
designed to only work with High Grade distilled water
(with an impurity value of less than approx. 1 ppm) and
will switch itself off if any other water is used. The electrodes supplied with this machine
are 99.99+% pure. See

Q.
How long does it take to make Colloidal Silver?
A.
This depends mainly on the quantity and the
temperature. When using the
MProCSG, which produces
500ml (17 fluid oz) per batch, the time to produce from
5 - 10 ppm is about 3 - 5 hrs. This will decrease as
the temperature rises. When using the Three Nines Plus
generator, which makes a glass at a time, the time works
out at around 30 - 60 minutes depending on the
temperature.
NOTE - If you read literature which says that you can
make it in a few minutes - watch out, this is probably
not using pure water and/or something else is being
added to the water eg. salt. Read this FAQ ...
Q.
How do you store Colloidal
Silver? Can I refrigerate it?
A. Colloidal Silver
should be stored in tinted glass bottles in a cool dark
cupboard, away from electrical cables. Do not
refrigerate.
Q.
How long does Colloidal Silver keep for?
A.
High quality Colloidal Silver will keep for
months possibly years as long as you obey the rules as
in previous answer.
Note: The fresher the better for human consumption.
Therefore
make it yourself
and you'll know it's fresh.
Q.
How long does Colloidal Silver take to work?
A. Normally it takes
about four to six days to really get into the system.
Some people have found that for some conditions the
results are immediate. This particularly the case for
some skin conditions.
Q.
Can I give Colloidal Silver to my animals?
A.
Yes - it safe to give Colloidal Silver to
animals, birds and fish etc. Add a few teaspoons to
the dog's or cat's water or into the goldfish aquarium
etc to keep them healthy. Even plants seem to thrive on
Colloidal Silver. Make your own Colloidal Silver and
then you can afford to spread it around as much as you
want.
Q. Should Colloidal Silver
be clear or cloudy?
A. Colloidal Silver
should never be cloudy. This
cloudiness indicates that the "Colloidal Silver"
contains bi-products other than silver. This is usually
because the water used to produce the Colloidal Silver
is not of a high quality. Many generators will accept
any water and will therefore produce an unknown (and
often cloudy) quality of Colloidal Silver.
If the colloidal silver is cloudy - don't use it, throw
it out.
If you are
generating your own Colloidal Silver ensure that you
use only High Grade Distilled Water.
The
MProCSG generator will only accept high grade
distilled water.
Q.
Can I add salt when I make
Colloidal Silver?
A. Salt
should never be added when making Colloidal Silver.
Some people use salt to speed up the process. If salt
is added, silver chloride is produced and probably
other undesirable by-products. To make pure Colloidal
Silver, use the highest grade of distilled water you
can find. You can speed up the process a little by
adding a small amount of the previous batch of
Colloidal Silver in with the high grade distilled
water. Please see previous answer for information of a
generator which will not work if salt is added.
A. If you use pure
colloidal silver made from high grade distilled water
and 99.99% silver, you should be able to take it for as
long as you like. As with all these things, you may
want to check with your doctor.
Q.
What does 5ppm mean?
A. 5ppm
(5 parts per million) means that the concentration of
silver is 5 parts for every 1,000,000 parts of water.
This is also often referred to as 5mg per Litre.
Q.
I took colloidal silver and I feel worse than ever.
Why?
A.
Sometimes this will happen when you first start taking
Colloidal Silver.
Dhyana L. Coburn & Patrick D. Dignan describe this as a
"Healing Crisis" on page 22 in their book 'The
Wonders of Colloidal Silver'. and I quote... "You
may go through what is known as a "healing crisis" or
de-tox manifesting flu-like symptoms.
This is not really considered a "side effect". The ill
feeling is a natural reaction to the body's attempt to
rid itself of poisons and pathogens. Elimination of
toxins via the body's five channels (ie: skin, liver,
lungs, kidneys, bowel) may be temporarily overloaded.
You may experience this reaction with fever, nausea,
headache, dizziness, aching muscles, or fatigue. If
this happens, simply reduce the dosage and remember to
drink lots of water. If you are under the care of a
doctor or therapist, it may be their recommendation
that you go through this healing crisis without cutting
back the dosage. It's a good thing, not a bad
thing. But it is an uncomfortable thing to go
through."

What is the correct Colloidal
Silver dosage?
A. Many people are
asking this question but I am not allowed to advise
on Colloidal Silver dosage.
Here is a testimony from a user... I personally take approx. 40ml (1.35 oz) at least
twice a day. I leave it in my mouth as long as I can, to
allow it to be absorbed into the blood stream though
the pores under my tongue, then swallow it. I have
been using pure Colloidal Silver for over ten years
(Eric R - Marion, South Australia. July 2009).

Do I have to dilute Colloidal Silver?
A. Colloidal silver
at the 5ppm to 10ppm rate does not require dilution. It is the
perfect concentration to use as it is.
Q.
What quality of colloidal silver should I get?
A. You should obtain
the highest quality colloidal silver that you can
get. The only way to know that you are using the
highest grade colloidal silver is to make it yourself
with a generator which only produces a high grade
product. The
MProCSG unit will not allow you to use water
other than the highest grade distilled water and
therefore will only produce the highest grade
colloidal silver.

A. The correct water
to use when making colloidal silver is High Grade
Distilled water usually with less than 1ppm (parts

medicine?
A. As I
understand it, colloidal silver can be taken with any
other medicine. Of course there are exceptions to
